Hammering or not I will be beaming from ear to ear if we get to Wembley.

Too right it was "We're going to Wembley" not "We're Going To Win The Cup" that rung round the terraces yesterday and rightly so.

Of course I would prefer it if we won the cup but the point I was trying to make out is that for me personally I would not be gutted as seeing Cas in a final for the first time since I was 8 would be enough to keep me happy.

Both sides got the draw they wanted. It should be a good game, the winners will be massive underdogs at Wembley, but bigger upsets have been pulled off.

Very true....plus I have a wad of betting slips with Cas 40/1 on them but thats a side issue

Having seen Leeds lose 6 finals, including 3 at Wembley, 2 at Cardiff and 1 at Murrayfield, I have more ambivalence to th prospect of another beating. Probably won't stop me turning up, but I'd be less pleased just to be there, even if it is more than our current form merits.

I think the list of what you have won and what you have nearly won in the last 10 years or so is the telling factor of why both fans would face a Wembley trip with a different mindset.

Even though Leeds have been mis-firing all year they have all that sudden death semi final experience in their squad, and rightly will start favourites.



But we enjoy the underdog tag,and the players may never get another chance of getting so close to a Wembley final.

Perhaps true for some of the rank and file, but there are some very bright futures in your team at the moment, and plenty more chances to come I would expect.

A win might also vanquish the name Steele Retchless from my memory

The mere mention of that name just made me grimace! Poor Andy Lynch; my lasting memory of his career as a professional rugby player will be him going for the dummy.
