I think you'll find that the key words are "contributed heavily to a £270,000 reduction in revenue". It does not say that they fully accounted for the losses.

I'm glad that you mention the word 'GATES', so many have in the past dismissed the importance of gates and prefer just to focus on money from SKY. Gates and attendances are still a very important factor for each and every club. As the RFL continue to spread the game, the expense of travel for the team and supporters will become an increasingly difficult financial challenge to us all. There are some increasingly tough times ahead!

I think it's a good statement, and it's cleared a few things up for me. It's as easy as that. If the club did this more regularly they wouldn't come in for as much criticism.

The total loss as stated by fully was £360k. Obviously the fact that £270k is written after the words "contributed heavily" would make you assume most is still a loss after new stadia expenses. Even if just 50% is - that's still nearly a £140k loss.

I wish some of the people on here were doing my tax returns and financial planning deals I put together at work, becuase the never ending stream of management accountants, business analysts and financial investigators who are experts in CTRLFC company, WTWC company, players contracts and salaries never ceases to amaze me.



Genuinely. Put the financial performance in to a 5 year overview first of all, to identify a trend and allow some consideration to projection.

Include in that the price of oil per barrel, FTSE 250 (100 is too narrow - maybe go to 400), GBP against the Euro and Aus Dollar - local unemployment rates and then match those percentage trends, I think you will identify that fiscal factors for ALL CLUBS have driven their cashflow profiles.

I am not being pedantic, but all clubs can end up here - TRUE, but the amount of tolerance before the PLC goes into the RED, or gets to the extent of it's borrowing or worse faces Administration or winding up orders depends on the thrift and careful financial management.



So, conservatism does not equal good - but in this narrow use case, it does equal time and breathing space to make considered decisions. I am no apologiser for RW, but I would rather have Wright and Fulton and Millward than some of the Crusaders, Wildcats, Bulls options and thats a fact.

Why do you bother , you obviously dislike everything about the club.

I love my club and just because i do - it doesn't mean i should be blinded by the recycled information we're constantly given. Just because i love my club, does that mean my hard earned money should be thrown at them no matter what?



I own businesses in the entertainment industry (which is what sport and CTRLFC is) and the value of watching Cas compared to many other things out there nowadays is just not worth it for what you get in return.



And why bother quoting my statement when your reply added nothing at all? I am merely stating that we are losing money as much as anyone else.

Thats a strange kind of love , you havent posted 1 positive about Cas yet, and your facts are way off the mark, we arent losing as much money as the rest or we would have been out with the buckets like wakey last year and bradford this year.



Like them or not RW and JF are doing a decent job keeping the club afloat while chasing the RFL dream of a new stadium.



I for one am glad they arent breaking the bank for mebbe 1 or 2 seasons relative success Followed by administration and the possible closure of the club, just to appease the like of you.



As said before , there are plenty of teams out there that need the odd glory supporter ......................... feel free, or for a change , why not get behind the club for once

There are NO positives to take from the club, otherwise myself and so many other fans wouldn't be moaning about it on here, in the papers and otherwise every day.



At the end of the day we are STILL losing money and STILL fielding a team that overall aren't good enough so we're not getting anywhere and not improving - we are taking steps backwards. I don't pay my money to be a glory supporter of Castleford Tigers - what a stupid statement to make when we've not won a major trophy for YEARS! (NL1 Final is not MAJOR)

Ask bradford whether there are positives to be taken from a club that is not going tits up.
