I might as well give my take on things, to me its like in boxing when someone is called a "champion boxer" it does not tell you what title or what level they are champions at, just that they are a champion. Same with the fev merchandise, no mention of any competition, just that we are champions. You could indeed do the same thing for your 9s success. |

Look closely at the merchandise.
It says champions 2010, nothing mentioned about the championship, league, grand final or anything relating to Rugby.
It could be referring to anything whereas if we had put league champions which doesn't exist for topping the league by the way then we would be in trouble.
This is marketing at it's best, selling products for something that doesn't exist but should for winning the league, just like selling Loch Ness Monster T-Shirts really.
