Think I'm right in saying Widnes used 40 players this year - 13 look to me like they would count as home grown and that not including Paddy Flynn who we picked up at around age 18 or Haggerty who came through the ranks. Admittedly most of them only played the odd game but 7 of them played 6 or more games for us. |

 I really hope your bids a cracker as it will really make the RFL think hard... heh you COULD still get in if they choose to dump another SL side? Unlikely yes, but who knows.
As was said earlier you just need to play the game if you want SL unfotunately that's the way it is. As a club Halifax have two options the Leigh way... throw toy's out the pram at every call made and start saying you aren't allowed to run an academy when you are etc etc. Or the Widnes way... get on the RFL's back about how you can improve. They said to us improve youth production, so we get more lads in the first team, they say prove finances so we smack in a 1mill profit that way they just can't say no when it comes around again. SO'C promised to deliver a flawless bid and that's what you need to do anything you can improve (so not location etc) do it and make damn sure the RFL know your doing it

Maybe around the same for us we have , Barlow brothers x 2 Danny Jones , James Hayley , Anthony Bowman . Our Dual reg is local lad Jacob Fairbank plus I havn`t counted the lads who came through our Acadamy anyway but don`t live in Calderdale eg Penky. |
