Last 14 games......won 2...LOST 12 (and one of them wins was a scrape through against rochdale)

Are you counting the friendlies as well? They're pretty irrelevant. We've won 2 from 4 this season, lost all 7 in the middle 8's, but won the last 4 games of the regular season. So, you could say that we've won 6 from the last 15, but of the 9 we lost, 4 were against SL opposition (which we'd not expect to win if we're honest).



I'm not saying we're playing well ('cos we're not), but it's very easy to massage statistics (which I've done above) to suit.



The middle 8's was a disaster, caused in the main by being part-time and unable to continue the effort of the last 4 games of the regular season, plus the 1st 8's game against HKR (which we lost by only 4 points).



What I'm saying is that the history of our results going into last season doesn't really matter. It's how we're performing this season, and that's not great. I can't see us scoring many points on Sunday, and if we're to win the game then we're going to need to concentrate in defence, and cut out the unnecessary dropped ball and penalties that we've seen so far.



Heart says 14-12 win for Fax, head says another disappointing loss 20-4.

Wouldn't fancy us at all on a dry track but Sunday will be heavy and Leigh lack stomach judging by their Barrow result.

To get owt from this game i think we would need for Leigh to be poor again. That's a sad statement to make but I can't see many positives after the dire performance at Rochdale. A lack of recruitment, injuries, DR and Richard Marshalls tactics are well and surely showing in displays and results on the field.

Pete, our own performances have been very sketchy all season, we seem to build up a decent lead then sit back and let the opposition attack us, which is fine if you have a good defence, at the moment the Leigh defence is very fragile,this game could go either way, I'm only tipping a Leigh win because I very rarely tip a loss for us.But the result will be very close, as has been said a dry pitch will suit Leigh, a wet one will suit Fax, I'm going for a 2 point Leigh win.

The thing is a 2 point win for Leigh would be another defeat for us. I was particularly unhappy when RM said we will get up to speed as the season went on. Every other coach was quite rightly stating the importance of getting off to a good start, not ours! We simply can't afford to lose on Sunday and , unfortunately, I can't see any other outcome. I hope I'm wrong.

We'll never get up to speed anyway with chopping/changing personnel depending on who Powell's wants us to use week by week.

Well..interesting 19 man squad.Is Heaton to get a chance at wing with no pointless DR back this week ? Gadwin Springer only DR at least he offers something potentially other than the basic ordinary forwards we've had already.

All teams use the same moves, just different names, will take him about 10 minutes to get up to speed.
