When he left the field i thought he went straight down the tunnel. They did not show him getting the red card on sky, they just put up the graphic as he left the field.

in fairness sky showed it as a sending off and on the replays he did run in throwin a punch whilst flyin through the air lol, but gaskells challenge was on nash' head so fair play to barlow

just re-watched it, and it looks like although gaskells tackle looks high, there is a swinging right arm from kavanagh that seems to upset nash.

He went in swinging and missed the widnes player and smacked Nash instead.

I noticed Barlow was shaking hands at the end of the game. If he was sent off wouldn't he have been banished to the dressing rooms?

No, it was a sending off. As someone who was at the match, I didn't see the ref give a yellow, he didn't give a card. For sending offs, it's common to give no card, and tell them they've been sent off.

If he was red carded it's a terrible call.

Barlow was one of the best players on the park tonight regardless of the scrap, it's about time Gannon retired. Howard Hill put the sickener on him the other week up at 'Haven at the first scrum, it appears he's lost his edge.

I remember a Leigh / Widnes game 4 years ago which saw 4 Leigh players receive 5,4,4 and 2 match bans respectively for a similar punch up. No one was sent off then !



Didn't watch the game, but everyone I spoke too said the fax player (Number 27 ?) was sent off.

Wasn't that some overspill from a nightclub incident that had previously occurred between a couple of the protagonists ?

I don't think i've even seen live or on TV the ref not produce a Red card for a Red card offense

. It's anything but common.



There's nothing from Sky TV to suggest that he [idefinitely[/i got sent off. The commentator only reacted to it being a sending off when he saw the graphic on screen, which could have been wrong.



To be fair, SeanFax is the only likely person on here to have an actual contact with the dressing room and he's been told it was a sin-bin, so i believe him.



Having said that, there's nothing stopping Barlow from getting a 1 match ban after the review
