We'll need to be on top of our game no doubt about that. In defence we need to get in their faces and force the error, and we can't let Finn dictate the game, we need to be on him straight away. In attack we need to exploit the flanks and fundamentally throw in a few basic moves, running angles, overlapping players etc because Fev's line speed is ridiculously quick and they'll punish us if we're getting predictable. Very tough game ahead, and if we're not switched on they'll spank us, but we have the capability!

Anyone care to predict the weather?

I think if our regular players all come out of today fit there'll be some selection issues especially as rhino said after today's game that Worrincey had been rested, White had a stormer today but Fieldy would be in the box seat at full back. Myself, I'd go with the pace of Whit & Worrincey on the wings, but it's too tough to call 'cos Reittie makes some decent dummy half busts out of our own danger area like an extra forward. Maka had a strong couple of stints today & with Luke & Jimbo my preferred starting props I think Maka may get a bench spot in front of Hesketh and Casey. I'd also use Bowman as the utility player off the bench.

Was Tyrer replaced as a precaution ?

If Luke & Jimbo are both fit & get the nod, we'll match them upfront, Manu & Robbo along with Ashy look certs for the back three for me and all three had decent runs today.

I think this final could even depend on the strengths of the replacements, I can honestly see us competing with them, if we pull it off it'll be a close score. I just hope we can put two strong 40 mins spells together with it being a cup final, I'm more confident than I was a couple of weeks ago of us achieving success in this game.

Is Divorty in contention for a place or is he still out at the moment?

He had said himself that Hunslet was marked down as his come back date which didn't happen so it looks likely he won't figure next week.

Realistically going of the past month, Fev by 10-16 Points. But a final offen Sees formbook thrown away ans a Chance of an upset is bigger. Tough to call tbh.

They are in great form

They have plenty of experience playing big games

They play the ref to perfection



Things in our favour:-

Fev had a tough game yesterday and will be broken where as we had an easy run out and rested a lot of players either for the game or in the 2nd half

Fev occasionally can choke under pressure

Although Fev fans laughed at KH rant the other week it may have actually done us a favour and I think it should be mentioned again in the build up

If we get a ref who lets us get a quick play the ball then we will put points on Fev

Their coach disrespected our players which should be good motivation



The reality is that its a very tough ask and at the beginning of the season with the team we had put together I thought we could possibly get to 2 finals but I wasnt sure we were quite as good as Fev. I think this year may be too early for us and think we will be even better next year but we are there and anything can happen on the day.

Hope you're wrong but i see it as something similar. But to be honest we've got a pretty new team and don't have the time under our belts that Fev have got so I'm pretty happy we've got here.

Saying that hopefully we'll put in a display similar to the first 40 against Leigh in CC for the whole 80, in which case it should be a classic and RL will be the winner.
