Nossy Parker in his column mentioned that he has been given the names of Said and Penky as possible departures, both under contract !!

Is he the Italian version of Nosey Parker? i must remember to buy the Italian Leaguer next time im in Halifax.

Why not? If the club can get a decent enough fee for them and lose them to Clubs outside of our league (assuming one is Leigh, wanting Penky to help them back into this league) while replacing them with good players and pocketing the change, it makes sense to me.



Whether it happens or not is another thing. Nosey isn't the most reliable of reporters

i agree...if they want to go elsewhere and we get a good fee then so be it..



these are obviously rumours, but if true, we will survive just fine...something tells me we have a long way to go with new signings for next year!

We have ticked the box so to speak, so the pressure is off. Obviously we want to win something but if offers are put in for players that will benefit us in the long term then we need to look at them. No player is bigger than the club. If Somebody wants to leave let them as personally I only want people who will give 100%

i don't understand why if Penky didnbt want to go to Leigh when they were in the Championship why he would want to go them in Championship 1.



i can't see them leaving, we put a lot of work into this squad. to let one of your best playmakers and one of your go forward players would be stupid.

Just looking at the players they all seem to get on so well & appear to be friends as well as team mates. A vital ingredient in our success this year imo.



Therefore why would a player want to move away from this, especially after signing a contract only a couple of months ago (Penky) & in Said's case he was the 1st to sign on for 2yrs & in a way.

to stand the best chance of super league, we need to go one better next season and win either the Rail cup or the league and the then year after do the double



this does a few things, it limits other teams getting to finals and ticking boxes, and also strenghs our case as the best team/application



Would i be right in saying so far 3 teams have ticked the box, Us, Barrow and Widnes, therfore being selfish, i would only wnat to see these teams in each of the 4 more finals there is to go!

I've not heard anything about him being offered anything by anybody, but Leigh would be an obvious one IF it were true and the offer would be bigger and better IMO to help them back out of their league at the first attempt.
