| When I heard about the result last night I must admit the first thing that went through my mind was dissappointment that we couldn't have a crack at top spot on Sunday.
Then I thought, 'Well done Barrow'. A fantastic achievement to get promoted from NL2 last year and finish top of the pile of the Championship this year, against some very good teams in this division.
However, I then thought about how many players they have used this year and the amount of money they have had pumped in by their controversial chairman. Is it that much of an achievement when they have such resources to suddenly buy four players in one day and an SL half back on loan?
I think yes, if we had even slightly carried on our run and picked up a couple of bonus points along the way, we wouldn't be having this conversation. While we were on our horror show Barrow as well as other teams kept on producing the results.
So well done Barrow for finishing top and lets hope for a cracking game between us at Craven Park on Thursday week

Just a bit of a point, dont turn up for the game on Sunday, it will be well and truly over, as we play on Saturday.
I too congratulate them on their season. They had the resources and they used them (cash). However I am pretty happy with our season, as long as we do the business on SATURDAY and take 2nd spot.
I am pretty certain we can go to Barrow and take the short journey to the Halliwell Jones Stadium....
But the first hurdle has to be Toulouse.
Come on you blues

| [size=150=blue[iI Dont think that barrow will be a big side next season thanks to the Budget cut but i do find it quite suspicious that something has gone on. Surely with the amount of players they have they cant be stickin to the salary cap??
but hey well done in winning nothing barrow (top stop is nothing now-a-days its all about the grand final) Hopefully it will be Us and some1 other than barrow in the final but hey we can all dream)[/i[/size

| Barrow took the league last night, that cant be changed. Well done.
Whats important right now is that we build on last weeks result, take some confidence from tomorrows game, and head into the play-offs with a team that believe they can take the GF.

i didnt say that they arent i said surely they cant be, two different things. just means that in my eye they must be spending an awful lot of it... remember they have payed wages for 44 players this season
and by the league & GF situation they only credit the team will get is 1st placve and if they lose in the gf or dont make it there the only thing they have achieved is £100,000, a picture with the league leader plate and a home tie in the play-offs... only 1 of them is a real achievement!

| Diddles - Had Fax finished top you would be raving about it as a massive acheivement. Put your sour grapes away and just be sporting.
I agree that thanks to the RFL rules, Top spot might as well be 3rd bottom if we don't go on an win the GF. I fail to see how finishing top of a 20 game league doesn't tick a box when winning the choo choo cup (after scraping out of the group stages and winning the semi in the luckiest way possible) gives you that all important tick. In my opinion both the League Leaders & GF winners should have the right to apply to SL. 2 seasons ago we would be looking forward to a season in SL after finishing top !!
