| I'd wait until tomorrow and the result of the meeting.
If your injury was caused by not following any clear H&S guidelines, you'll probably be lucky to still have a job.

I think he's saying following H&S guidelines was a contributory factor. If the lads had previously expressed doubts about the gloves, it's a whole different ball-game.

| Depends on your contract.
Also, did you follow all the safety guidelines? Why did you not isolate the machine with the stop before removing the object?

Depend. Has he put his hand somewhere he shouldn't? As asked, why did he wait only till there was a problem to isolate the machine? What are the guidelines and training around removing debris? If he has failed to follow those, then as Coddy says, he might be lucky to remain in a job.

One suspects schedules mean that's, in practical terms, not feasible. However, I would also bet that company written policy will say you should (unless it's a small company without proper policies).

| Was told to use gloves at all times by my superviser after wire went through my finger on my first day resulting in him getting told off for not issueing them.If i stop the machine halfway through it messes up the running job. Eg i can tape up ends off tube with machine running aslong as am on the right side off machine where kick stop is. The braid on the tube is what caused the accident by been sharp and getting stuck the glove. Not actualy got a copy off my contract just a bit concernd about the outcome off the meeting

All companies that use Heavy machinery will have written guidelines, if only to cover their anus in the event of such an accident.
And any company that puts employee safety below schedules is asking for trouble in the Courts.
